In the past few years, we've seen a lot of early adoption of IoT devices, and with it, a series of malicious attacks made possible due to flaws in the software onboard. While these flaws stem from a variety of underlying problems, fixing them in deployed devices requires remote firmware updates.

Remote firmware updates, however, pose extensive challenges to the developer. In this talk, you will learn about the security and architectural challenges of deploying a firmware update solution.


Building a firmware update solution may appear easy, but there are a great many hidden problems with deploying updates in the field.
