Getting an IoT device to market has many challenges including the different connectivity options. mbed OS, the platform operating system for IoT devices, integrates most common IP based and non-IP based networking stacks. This technical session will cover how to add connectivity to your product and get to market faster.
There are many ways to integrate connectivity. It could be a SoC based design, network co-processor or module which may be either topology. Other than cost trade-offs, there are software challenges and performance requirements that may impact the ideal system architecture. Embedded systems product development trends indicate that missing deadlines and canceled projects are the norm.
The mbed OS connectivity architecture normalizes these design topologies making it easier to focus on application development in a world of changing hardware requirements.
