Dr. Jessica Barker co-founded the cybersecurity consultancy Redacted Firm and runs the cybersecurity news and resources website cyber.uk. In this presentation, she will explore the world of hacking and analyze why humans are particularly susceptible to social engineering. Why is it so easy to persuade people to give away sensitive information? Are we naïve or just too nice? Jessica will describe how we need to understand how human nature works, why we are potentially more hackable than any machine, and how to engineer better system security that fits with the way we behave in the real world.
