Mr. Brooks has extensive professional experience in the development and management of automation systems, cybersecurity, wireless systems, sensor instrumentation, smart sensors, embedded electronic systems, computer control, condition-based maintenance, and electromechanical systems. Mr. Brooks has been responsible for all engineering systems, design functionality, requirements and developing and integrating systems for display, sonar, radar, communications and homeland defense applications. He has developed wireless systems with Bluetooth, Zigbee, WiFi, IEEE 802.11a/b/g technologies utilizing secure wireless Internet Protocols and web-enabled capabilities. He has focused on new technology areas including Micro-ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS), Smart Sensors with embedded DSPs, wireless sensors, and an embedded vibration analysis system for railroad car monitoring through a satellite link. He has worked on Robotic and Automation Systems on the NASA Flight Telerobotic Servicer Program, and reconfigurable tooling at GM Research. He developed a novel six-axis platform with computer control and the patented product won the 1993 Star Tech Award for Best New Product in Washington Technology magazine. He holds an MBA Chicago, MS MIT and BS University of Florida.
