With a continuous focus on innovation, Steve Pancoast has directed large R&D organizations spanning multiple international sites and has managed the development of award-winning hardware and software products, from concept through production. He holds more than 30 patents in the areas of PC power management, video processor architecture and software systems.
As vice president of engineering at Secure Thingz, Steve leads the engineering development organization and is focused on providing security solutions that establish a root of trust in IoT devices and enable secure software deployment / updates.
Prior to joining Secure Thingz in Oct. 2016, Steve spent three years at Atmel as VP of Software, Tools and Applications for the MCU/MPU Organization, where he was responsible for embedded software development, HW/SW tools and world-wide applications support. Prior to joining Atmel in May 2013, Steve spent four years with Freescale as VP of Product Solutions for the Automotive and Industrial Solutions Group (AISG), with responsibilities for MCU product definition / architecture, software development, and world-wide applications support. Before joining Freescale in 2009, Steve spent 10 years at STMicroelectronics, where he most recently served as Sr. Director of the U.S. Consumer Application Labs.
Steve holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
